The International Conference on New Directions in the Development of Creative & Media Industries was hosted in the School of Journalism and Communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong on June 7-8, 2013. Anthony Fung and Matthew Chew are the conveners of the conference. All investigators and researechers, in addition to other invited participants, attended the conference and presented their research. This event was not only a platform for scholars’ discussion on the past, present, and future of the creative and game industries, but also one of the programs for celebrating the 50th Golden Jubilee of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. An additional support of HK$50,000 support from CUHK enabled the conference to include a last session on media industries (which are related to creative industries). All investigators and researchers joined the conferences. For details, please visit http://creativeindustries.com.cuhk.edu.hk/conference
