Michael Keane is one of the world’s leading scholars in creative industries studies. His specialties are on the globalizing trend of the Chinese creative industries and China’s emerging creative clusters, new media, and soft infrastructure. He studied cultural enterprises, institutions, labor, human capital, governance and investment, which are all essential elements in this study. Currently, he is doing research with partners in China (Beijing Academy of Science and Technology) and leading figures in cultural policy studies including Justin O’ Conner, Stuart Cunningham, and John Hartley.
